Part two of "Vicious Cycle" arrives with a cover by Mark Texeira that wastes no time establishing the tone: a flaming-skulled Ghost Rider looms overhead in spiked leather, chain in hand, while a massive red demonic figure crouches below — clearly outmatched and on the receiving end of something unpleasant. Daniel Way's script, brought to life by Javier Saltares and Texeira on interior art, promised readers in 2006 exactly the kind of hellfire-drenched confrontation this image delivers. If you like your supernatural action visceral and unapologetic, this issue wears that intention right on its cover.
