Ghost Rider #15
Ghost Rider's flaming skull dominates this July 1991 cover in a striking close-up by Mark Texeira, the hellfire erupting outward in stark black and white that makes the Rider's hollow eyes burn all the more intensely. A small inset panel in the corner offers a second, tighter angle on that skull, a nice compositional touch that underscores just how menacing this Spirit of Vengeance can be. With Howard Mackie's "Last Hope" as the story within, this issue carries a sense of genuine urgency that perfectly matches Texeira's raw, high-contrast artwork.
