Meanwhile, Gambit and the X-Men arrive in the city, drawn into a dangerous conflict between the Thieves and Assassins Guilds, unaware of the supernatural threat growing in their midst. Written by Howard Mackie and illustrated by Ron Wagner, with inks by Mike Witherby and colors by Gregory Wright, the issue’s cover by Ciro Tota captures the dark, electric tension of a city on the edge.
