Charlton's Ghost Manor #5 (1969) leans fully into its "Echoes of the Spirit World" tagline with a cover by Sanho Kim that's hard to look away from — a towering, green-skulled specter in a dark cloak looms over two tiny human figures caught in the swirling folds of its robes, its clawed hands outstretched against a blazing red background. The cover boldly dares you to read the book-length special within, "The Devil's Cauldron," written by Joe Gill with art and letters also by Kim — a rare all-in-one creative effort that gives the issue a distinctive, unified feel.
