Part one of "Survival of the Fittest" kicks off with a cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson that wastes no time setting a combative tone — three young mutants tumble through a fierce mid-air clash, their golden energy constructs and claws flying in every direction. The dynamic composition, brought to life by writer Christina Strain and artist Amilcar Pinna with colors by Felipe Sobreiro, captures exactly the kind of high-stakes tension the title promises. If this opening chapter is any indication, Generation X's class of young mutants is about to face something that will push them to their limits.
