Generation X frantically searches the Danger Grotto looking for a missing local girl who has been abducted by the mystic Token. Jubilee and Chamber run into the Pooka creature, Elwood, who diverts them from their task to go and look for Synch. The rest of the team encounters the mutant rat, Dirt Nap, who opens a dimensional door for them so that they, too, can find their missing teammate. Synch has been trapped by Chimera and M-Plate and is in a parallel reality being taken to something called the Citadel of the Universal Amalgamator.
