Generation M #5
The finale of Marvel's 2006 Decimation tie-in miniseries arrives with striking cover art by Stuart Immonen: a determined young woman draws back a bow, her arrow glowing with energy, while a somber group of figures stands in the shadow of a looming cityscape behind her. That contrast — one resolute archer in the foreground against a crowd of the uncertain and the weary — captures the emotional weight Paul Jenkins, Ramón Bachs, and John Lucas have built across this five-issue run. A fitting close to a series that put a human face on one of the Marvel Universe's most turbulent moments.

Sally interviews Dani Moonstar for her "Ex-Mutant Diaries" but is extremely distracted during their conversation. This is because she has decided to write her own mutant story--the story of her baby daughter who, at two years old, manifested a mutation which caused her to begin aging in reverse until it killed her. Afraid that exposing her most painful secret to the world will make her an outcast, she is surprised when she is shown an overwhelming outpouring of love and support. Sally and the X-Men set a trap for the mutant killer known as the Ghoul.
