In "Tot het bittere einde," Generation X is on the run in Los Angeles, hunted by Prime Sentinels after Skin’s desperate plea for help from his old enemy Tores backfires. With the team scattered and cornered, Banshee and Emma Frost track the kids to a Miami safe house, only to be drawn into a dangerous game when Emplate offers to reveal their location in exchange for Penance.

Banshee brings the Gen X team to Muir Isle to consult Moira MacTaggert about M’s mysterious split into two girls, but when Paige decides the team needs a break, she drags them instead to the Circus of Crime—where the Ringmaster, Princess Python, and the rest of the troupe are anything but ordinary performers.
