Gene Autry encounters a woman named Dakota who has been hunting a gunman named Autry in Cherokee Strip, and he agrees to help her retrieve stolen guns before sundown. Later, a character named Olga orchestrates an elaborate scheme involving fake screams to trick a man named Flapjack into leaving his post, resulting in violence and a subsequent confrontation where Olga is exposed as a deceiver. In "The Comanche Cave," Panhandle Pete and his burro Jughead encounter young Janey at the Crazy-T Ranch, where Pete agrees to tell her a story about chasing the outlaw Comanche to prevent Janey from running away with Jughead.
