Gen 13 #3
In "Best of a Bad Lot Part Three: Eye Candy," Gen 13 finds themselves in a tense standoff with the "Heavenly Choir" from Cell 11, who’ve taken a shelter’s nun hostage and are broadcasting the confrontation for profit—while Dr. Cross watches from afar, letting the chaos unfold. Freefall, though grazed by Lynch’s bullet, is up and moving, and the team presses forward, unsure if they’re walking into a trap or a chance to turn the tide. Written by Gail Simone and illustrated by Talent Caldwell with coloring by Wildstorm FX, the issue’s cover by Talent Caldwell and Matt Banning captures the high-stakes drama perfectly.
