Wildstorm's World Storm initiative kicks off in style with this 2006 relaunch of Gen 13, written by Gail Simone with interior art by Talent Caldwell and inks by Matt Banning. The cover — penciled by Caldwell and inked by Banning — puts the whole team front and center: a determined green-eyed redhead in a green-and-purple outfit leads the charge, flanked by a flame-wreathed figure blazing overhead, a pink-haired young woman crackling with energy, a muscular guy with stone-encrusted fists, and a dark-haired woman who looks ready to tear something apart. It's a confident, kinetic introduction to a superpowered team that clearly isn't here to play nice.
