Sean Mackiewicz, Niko Walter, and Mat Lopes bring us Gasolina #13, subtitled "Mamá," and this cover tells a quietly haunting story all on its own. A shotgun stands upright amid scattered shells, handguns, and bullets, flanked by a human skull — while the framed photographs surrounding them hint at warmer times: a wedding portrait, a young child, an American flag, a Mexican flag, a woman in sunglasses. The contrast between domestic memory and cold weaponry makes this one of the more unsettling images in the series' run, pulling you in before you've turned a single page.
