The world's most self-satisfied cat is at it again — in Garfield Chickens Out, his 61st book from Random House, Jim Davis sends Garfield strutting front and center in a full chicken costume, grinning his unmistakable grin while a flock of very real, very suspicious chickens surrounds him on all sides. The purple-background cover is pure comic energy, with those wide-eyed birds clearly not fooled by their orange-tailed new "friend." If this 2016 collection is anything like its cover promises, Garfield's latest scheme is as delightfully ridiculous as ever.
