“What the Tables Do”

In "What the Tables Do," G.I. Joe: America's Elite #17 delivers a tense, high-stakes standoff as Shipwreck, Stalker, Hawk, and Roadblock find themselves trapped in a cell under the control of the Phoenix Guard. With Rey warning not to cross a deadly line, Snake Eyes infiltrates for intel while the others race to reach the President—only for the truth to unravel when Rey discovers his own team is an elaborate disguise, setting off a chain of confrontations that puts Duke, Rey, and the newly escaped Baroness on a collision course with the impostors. Written by Joe Casey and illustrated by Josh Medors, with inks by Richard Zajac, colors by Jason Jenson, and letters by Brian J. Crowley, the issue’s cover by Tim Seeley and Stephane Peru captures the moment’s simmering tension.
