Springfield is under siege — and the cover by Andy Kubert makes that unmistakably clear, with a monstrous, zombified Cobra Commander charging forward through a shattered "Welcome to Springfield" sign while a second Cobra trooper scrambles alongside him, both fleeing or fighting as waves of armored soldiers parachute from stealth jets darkening the smoky sky above the town.
