“Cobra World Order Part Seven”

In "Cobra World Order Part Seven," Destro survives the fall of the Silent Castle—though barely, his forearms lost to the wreckage. As Cobra Commander parades his new world order through Springfield, Zartan’s loyalists are spared from his wrath by Tomax & Xamot, who grow weary of the Commander’s increasingly erratic rule. Meanwhile, Duke reflects on a past mission in Trucial Abysmia, where a rescue attempt for Claire ended in heartbreak when she chose to aid an injured soldier instead. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by S. L. Gallant with inks by Brian Shearer, colors by J. Brown, and letters by Neil Uyetake, the issue’s cover by Gallant captures the grim spectacle of Cobra’s rise.
