G.I. Joe #3
In G.I. Joe #3 (2011), Hawk and Dial-Tone take a tense journey by train back to the Pit, only to be ambushed by Tomax—just as a wave of chaos hits the base itself. With the reactor failing and the entire facility in danger, the Joes scramble to evacuate, but not before Zartan makes a daring escape with Storm Shadow’s help. The issue’s explosive climax brings the Pit to ruin, and the cost is devastating. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Javier Saltares, with inks by Christopher Ivy, colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr., and letters by Shawn Lee, the cover by Tom Feister captures the intensity of the moment.
