G.I. Combat #3

Part of DC's 2012 New 52 relaunch, this third issue of G.I. Combat drops two soldiers — helmeted, rifle-ready, and clearly outmatched — directly beneath the snapping jaws and slashing claws of a massive dinosaur looming out of jungle undergrowth, with more prehistoric creatures lurking in the background. It's a vivid reminder of what makes the "War That Time Forgot" feature so compelling: modern soldiers pitched against primeval terror on a battlefield evolution forgot to close. With writing from J.T. Krul and interior art by Ariel Olivetti, plus additional stories spotlighting the Scourge of Terror and the Unknown Soldier, this issue packs a serious amount of action into one package.
