A desperate Allied column on an unauthorized raid in Indo-China moves toward the sea to escape enemy forces, but discovers their path is blocked by guided missiles. Captain Kenton's men must fight their way through to reach the beach and board a destroyer while under heavy fire, ultimately succeeding in their "Vengeance Assault" despite the enemy's superior firepower and the psychological pressure of combat against an overwhelming opponent.

Contains 4 stories
Vengeance Assault
9 pp · War

Colonel Anthony Curtis leads a daring airborne raid deep into enemy territory to rescue 97 American prisoners of war being held in a heavily guarded North Korean camp—men the Chinese Communists refused to release after the armistice. With the help of his resourceful sergeant and a volunteer who pole-vaults over the prison fence, Curtis orchestrates a high-wire rescue using captured enemy trucks and a perfectly timed explosion to create the chaos they need to slip the weakened prisoners out. Now it's a desperate race against the clock and pursuing enemy forces to reach the safety of an American destroyer waiting at the coast.

Indo-China Raid
6 pp · War

Sergeant Perkins and his tank crew find themselves separated from the rest of their convoy in Indo-China after a bridge collapse—and cut off from the major firepower they'll need to complete their mission. When they discover the guerrillas' hidden ammunition depot nearby, the determined sergeant sees a chance to strike a blow, even with a damaged turret gun and dwindling fuel. What starts as a daring raid becomes a desperate race for survival as the crew fights their way back to safety.

Missiles of Death
7 pp · War

Captain Brad Kenton volunteers to lead a radio team deep behind enemy lines in Korea to guide a quartet of experimental missiles to a heavily fortified ammunition dump that conventional bombers can't crack. When enemy forces close in and their relay equipment is damaged, Kenton and his men must improvise with salvaged ordnance and sheer determination to complete their impossible mission.

Killer Pursuit
6 pp · War

Sergeant Red Mullins faces off against Komotza, a North Korean soldier he once competed against at the Olympics—a rival who always seemed to jinx him into defeat. When Komotza escapes from the stockade with knowledge of American defensive positions, Mullins must pursue him across treacherous terrain in a desperate race to stop him from reaching enemy lines. The sergeant's only chance to break the curse and protect his outfit lies in finally proving he can outmatch his old nemesis.
