The final issue of this 1995 Marvel miniseries closes out "Town Without Pity" with a cover that puts the heat front and center — a grimacing, heavily armed figure blazes away against a wall of fire and flying shell casings, while a scarred, red-helmeted adversary looms in the foreground, teeth clenched and battle-worn. Cover pencils by Corky C. Lehmkuhl and inks by Mark McKenna give the whole thing a kinetic, mid-90s intensity that suits Nick Fury's world perfectly. If you've been following this S.H.I.E.L.D. ride, this is the issue to see it through.
