This Fall 1945 issue of Animated Funny Comic-Tunes captures the lighthearted spirit of the era perfectly — a grinning green character in a striped shirt swings happily in a hammock strung between two trees, declaring "Ah! Just what I need to cool me off!" while a small mouse-like figure in a blue outfit sprays water into a barrel below and a cheerful pig character clings to one of the trees above. Harvey Eisenberg's linework brings a rubbery, cartoon-studio energy to every figure, with expressive faces and lively motion that leap right off the page.
