Funny Films #22 is an anthology of movie-style cartoon stories. One story features an inspector and a dog named Robber Hound attempting to catch a thief in a house, with the hound repeatedly pointing out the criminal until the inspector finally apprehends him. Another story shows Boots the dog attempting to remove a vase from his head, which leads to a series of escalating explosions involving dynamite and a skyrocket. "Bag o' Bones" tells of a starving, homeless dog wandering the streets of Little Town who discovers a tap-tap-tapping sound and befriends a gorilla; when police arrive to arrest the gorilla for being a housebreaker, they recognize the dog as a friendly stray and offer him a home with the Police Department.
