Fugitives from Justice #5

"The Paris Mystery" with Vic Flint, by Michael O'Malley and Ralph Lane, follows detective Flint as he is hired by the Kleeman-Parker fashion house to travel to Paris and protect their exclusive dress designs from two con artists masquerading as American tourists. During the voyage across the Atlantic, Flint discovers the criminals' scheme and works to apprehend them before the designs can be stolen. A secondary story features criminals Cliff Dolan, Pete Kalmak, and Steve Evans involved in a rigged gambling operation where Eastern wins a high-stakes bet, leading to violence and a car crash that hospitalizes Kalmak and Evans.
