“The Treasure of Death Valley!”

In "The Treasure of Death Valley!", Davy finds himself ambushed by Choctaw warriors and narrowly escapes into the wilderness, where he takes refuge with a reclusive barrel-maker named Pearly Thacker. Together, they load a wagon with barrels and other supplies, using the barrels’ clever arrangement to fend off their pursuers and make a desperate run through the treacherous terrain. With art by John Prentice on both interior and cover, this 1956 DC adventure blends frontier grit and quick thinking in a tense, action-packed journey.
