In the main Fritzi Ritz story by Ernie Bushmiller, Fritzi attends a movie at a theater where she and her date encounter a "sneaky butler" character on screen. The butler has hidden a dagger on a shelf and rigged a trap door in the kitchen with a poisoned candle, creating suspense as they watch the film unfold. The second story follows a young boy named Willie who meets a friend named Dudley and gets involved in various winter activities, including building snowmen. Willie later shows his mother pictures he's drawn and creates a chaotic scene in his room with toy soldiers and other playthings. A third segment features comedic foreign characters (speaking phrases like "Akka Pakka" and "Inka Pinka Dinka Klinka") involved in a scheme with a maharajah and an elephant, culminating in a brawl over possession of the animal.
Bingo the monkey has a feeling lady luck is on his side—and when he stumbles into a rigged radio quiz and wins the "Grand Slam Question," he claims his prize: a white elephant that two circus workers desperately need to unload! As Bingo tries to care for his unexpected pet around town, the original owners and an unexpected visitor from across the seas have very different ideas about who truly owns the prized pachyderm.
