Freedom Force #3

A star-spangled teen hero bursts through a crumbling brick wall, fist thrust forward and battle cry of "For Liberty!" on his lips — it's a punchy, energetic image that captures everything fun about patriotic superhero comics. Tom Scioli's bold linework gives the cover a retro dynamism, with warm explosive yellows radiating behind the young hero's blue, star-studded costume. Issue #3 of Image's Freedom Force promises "Double Trouble" inside, and with an introduction billing him as "America's Newest Teen Idol," this series is clearly having a great time celebrating classic superhero spirit.
