Frankenstein #17

This issue contains a humorous story about Sergeant Hannegan, a small soldier whose wife Doris becomes romantically involved with his taller fellow serviceman Lester while Hannegan is away. When Hannegan receives a photograph of Doris with Lester and other soldiers, he becomes jealous and despondent, fearing he has lost her to someone more impressive in stature. However, Doris ultimately chooses Hannegan over Lester, and her continued devotion to him results in his promotion and recognition, transforming him into something of a local hero. Additionally, the issue features a comedic sequence involving men stranded at a saloon who drink excessive amounts of water and become delirious with laughter at their own nakedness.
