Part of DC's New 52 launch, this fourth issue of Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. showcases a cover by J. G. Jones that's hard to look away from — the towering, stitched-together Frankenstein looms large, sword in hand, while a sleek, gargoyle-like figure battles writhing tentacles below him against a blood-red backdrop. The tagline "Fear of a Monster Planet" sets an appropriately pulpy, creature-feature tone for this conclusion to the "War of the Monsters" arc, written by Jeff Lemire with art by Alberto Ponticelli.
