This anthology issue contains two science fiction stories. "Bud's Birthday Presents" follows a man who shrinks after receiving mysterious gifts from space aliens and must find a way to reverse the process before spacemen arrive to collect the shrunken specimens. A second story depicts Corporal Ludwigs Brehmer, a devoted WWII officer, returning to headquarters from the front lines, who discovers a trap door and becomes entangled in a dangerous situation involving concealed prisoners and orders to eliminate gypsies—exploring themes of moral conflict during wartime.
