Flashpoint: Deathstroke & the Curse of the Ravager #3
The concluding chapter of this 2011 Flashpoint tie-in miniseries closes out with a cover by Howard Porter and John Dell that puts an unmasked, battle-worn Deathstroke front and center — sword in hand, teeth gritted, lunging through a hellish orange sky while grasping stone-gray zombie-like hands clutch at him from below and a winged creature looms in the background. It's a fittingly intense send-off image for the three-issue run, with Jimmy Palmiotti writing and Tony Shasteen and Alex Massacci handling interior art. If you've been following Slade Wilson's turbulent voyage through DC's altered Flashpoint timeline, this finale is the natural destination.
