Flashpoint: Citizen Cold #1

Set against the altered reality of DC's 2011 Flashpoint event, this opening chapter of the three-issue miniseries reimagines Captain Cold as a celebrated public figure — and Scott Kolins makes that tension crackle right on the cover. Cold looms large in his fur-trimmed parka and blue goggles, cold gun blazing, while a cheering crowd fills the cityscape behind him and a flame-wielding adversary strikes from the lower foreground. Kolins brings real kinetic energy to the scene, and with "Cold-Hearted" as the story's title, it's clear this version of the Rogues' most calculating member hasn't gone entirely straight.
