Flashpoint: Batman Knight of Vengeance #2

Dave Johnson's cover for this second chapter of the Flashpoint tie-in is genuinely striking: a massive, grinning skull dominates the image, a blood-red "J" carved into its forehead and flowing red streaks sweeping back like wild hair — a Joker-esque specter rendered in stark black and white. Beneath it, rendered in cool blue tones, a grizzled man with sunglasses levels a gun directly at the reader, adding an immediate sense of menace and confrontation. Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso's dark Flashpoint reimagining of the Batman mythos is in full swing with this middle chapter of the three-part series.
