A blazing figure of immense power dominates the center of this March 1990 cover, head thrown back and radiating blinding white energy while two speedsters in red race in from the left and the Flash grapples with a green-costumed figure on the right — the tagline "Suddenly…things get REALLY WEIRD!" says it all. Greg LaRocque and Larry Mahlstedt deliver a cover full of kinetic chaos that perfectly captures the anything-can-happen spirit William Messner-Loebs brought to the title. "Running on the Edge" looks like exactly the kind of issue that reminds you why the Flash's corner of the DC Universe was such a lively place in 1990.
