Part of the "Blue Sun Rising" arc, this 2020 BOOM! Studios issue delivers one of the series' more quietly affecting covers — a cloaked figure standing alone beside an ornate hearse carriage in a windswept field, the overcast sky and tall golden grass lending the scene a mournful, contemplative weight. Marc Aspinall's painterly cover work gives the Firefly universe a grounded, elegiac texture that feels a world away from the stars above. Greg Pak and Lalit Kumar Sharma continue their run on Joss Whedon's beloved 'verse, promising another emotionally charged chapter in this ambitious storyline.
