Firebird is gravely wounded capturing Zero. Only her daughter can provide the needed blood transfusion. Emily resents having been sent away to boarding schools and finds out for the first time that it was because her mother was Firebird. After the transfusion, Emily finds she has the same flaming powers as her mother and aides her mother in the recapture of Zero.
