Fire Power #4

Chris Samnee's cover for this fourth issue of Robert Kirkman's Fire Power makes an immediate impression: a bloodied man in a suit plummets through open air, tie whipping upward and a heavy chain trailing below him as he falls inverted against a cool, pale background. The stark simplicity of the image — just a wounded figure and that ominous chain — creates a real sense of dread and momentum. Kirkman and Samnee, with colors by Matthew Wilson, are clearly not letting up as this series pushes deeper into darker territory.
