Two helmeted Marines press low over a dirt embankment, rifles at the ready, while below them an enemy gun emplacement blazes away with a sharp "BAM BAM!" — it's a tense, ground-level standoff rendered with real grit by cover penciler Bill Molno and inker Vince Alascia. Charlton's promise of "Breathtaking Action Stories" feels entirely earned here, with the cover's dynamic angle pulling you right into the foxhole alongside these soldiers. Inside, writer Joe Gill's "One Man's War" — with art by Bill Molno and inks by Sal Trapani — promises the kind of grounded, boots-in-the-mud combat storytelling that made this series a solid ten-cent value in 1957.
