An anthology issue containing three military stories: "Image of Courage" and "A Smiling Face" present combat narratives involving soldiers confronting enemy tanks in mountainous terrain; "Mountain War" depicts soldiers engaged in tactical warfare with explosives and grenades. "Expendable" is a text story about a watchmaker tasked with repairing a timepiece containing secret watch parts intended for use in bombs destined for Nazi-occupied territory during World War II. "Riding Shotgun" depicts a soldier volunteering for duty in Vietnam, riding in a heavily armed helicopter and engaging in combat operations against Communist forces.
