This issue contains military war stories set during World War II. "Hitler's Private Paradise" depicts Colonel Teeger assuring a German general that no army can penetrate his valley fortress, only to face unexpected American assault and eventual court-martial for his failure. "The Wound That Wouldn't Heal" follows a soldier carrying shell fragment shrapnel in his heart from Salerno who encounters a German soldier in Italy and chooses mercy over vengeance, later returning to England to train new troops. Additional stories detail soldiers' experiences across various theaters of war, including armored regiments in Italy and operations in the Balkans.
