☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains multiple adventure stories. "Senorita Rio in Slave Brand of the Spider Cult" follows the titular character's exploits with exotic settings and danger. The visible pages show military action featuring paratroopers in combat during what appears to be a World War II scenario, with soldiers taking cover and facing Japanese attack from shore. "Tiger Girl," written by Allan O'Hara, depicts a woman warrior in a jungle setting who hunts alongside tigers and encounters human threats in exotic locales. Additional stories featured include "Shark Brodie," "Rip Carson," and "Hooks Devlin."
A cinema star who moonlights as a secret service operative, Señorita Rio poses as a daring reporter to investigate a murder at an antique shop—where a dying man's cryptic last words about "time" lead her to uncover Nazi plans hidden inside an old clock. When she bids for the clock at auction to keep it from enemy hands, Rio finds herself captured and taken to a hidden submarine base, where she'll need every ounce of cunning to survive and stop the sabotage scheme before it's too late.
