The story follows his pursuit by authorities as he attempts to stay ahead of the law. "The Corpse That Came Back" deals with a wealthy, tyrannical farmer named Nathan Adams whose young wife and her accomplice plan to murder him, but Adams proves difficult to kill and the plot takes an unexpected turn involving his corpse.
