Darrel and Martha are walking along the street when air raid sirens go off, and they take shelter in a subway tunnel. Two painters are also in there and Darrel notices something strange about them, so he turns into Doll Man and tracks them. Doll Man is puzzled that the Nazis are so accurate in their bomb runs until he sees the painters painting the tops of building (later bombed) with luminous paint.
