Issue #24 of Vertigo's FBP: Federal Bureau of Physics closes out the series with a cover by Nathan Fox that's quietly breathtaking — a lone figure in heavy tactical gear crouches amid scattered debris, cradling a tiny sphere of glowing light against a sweeping backdrop of luminous stars and a vast, swirling orb. The image carries real weight, that solitary agent and his fragile handful of light feeling both small and strangely hopeful against the deep blues of a destabilized universe. Simon Oliver's script and Alberto Ponticelli's interior art, colored throughout by Michael Wiggam, have made this Vertigo series a genuinely inventive ride, and this final issue promises a fittingly atmospheric send-off.
