“Fuzzy the Bear, Rides the Roller Coaster”

This Winter 1949 issue of Fawcett's Funny Animals delivers a wonderfully chaotic cover scene: Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, dressed in his red-and-yellow suit, braces himself against a massive rolling barrel while a monkey scrambles on one side and a wide-eyed piglet teeters atop a broken tree stump — all while the cover teases "Open the door for a big surprise!" Inside, the fun continues with a full roster of fan-favorite characters including Sherlock Monk, Willie the Worm, Battling Bantam, Billy the Kid, Droopy, Fuzzy, and Benny — with Fuzzy the Bear apparently taking on a roller coaster in his own story. At just ten cents, this "Approved Wholesome Reading" anthology packed a lot of cheerful, all-ages entertainment into one colorful package.
