This anthology issue features multiple animal-themed stories including a Sagebrush Sam tale set in the desert where the villain escapes while Billy Lee is wounded, and Sagebrush Sam pursues him on horseback and encounters a living cactus. A separate story follows Willipus, a young animal who learns a lesson about roughhousing when his reckless roller-skating at an indoor rink causes him to collide with another skater named Suzan, injuring her and resulting in his father banning him from skating until he improves his behavior. Additional stories include Billy and Oscar going fishing, where they catch increasingly larger fish and have various misadventures, and a Sherlock Monk tale in which the detective and his companion settle an argument through physical altercation, ultimately deciding that arguing is a waste of time.
