In the shadow of a fallen knight, young Brian Kent—now an orphan and barred from the throne—must prove himself worthy. Trained relentlessly by the gruff Sir Grot, he struggles to master the ways of knighthood, especially when the fierce hawk Slasher remains untamed. When the bird escapes into the Forest Perilous, Brian follows, only to find a suit of armor bearing a hawk emblem. Donning it in silence, he intervenes when knights menace a girl, driving them off with Slasher’s aid—then vanishes, leaving behind the armor and a legend. Now, the castle buzzes with whispers of the mysterious Silent Knight.
