In "Le Cose Cambiano," the merged Hulk and Bruce Banner struggle as the scientist fights to emerge from the giant's chest, desperate to end his own life while the Hulk is forced to protect him. With the situation escalating, the Hulk breaks free from Gamma Base and flees toward Dr. Samson’s nutrient bath, pursued by General Thunderbolt Ross. When Rick Jones intervenes, Ross knocks him into the bath, triggering a shocking transformation that leaves the Hulk as a grey form—only to quickly revert back to Banner.
