Fantastic Four Classic #1
"¡Los 4 Fantásticos!" kicks off with Mr. Fantástico signaling his teammates to reunite in Central City, setting the stage for a classic origin retelling. Written by Stan Lee and Eduardo Braun, with iconic art by Jack Kirby and inks by George Klein and Sol Brodsky, this 1993 Planeta DeAgostini edition captures the group’s birth in a pivotal moment—when a secret space flight exposed them to cosmic rays, transforming them into the world’s first superhero team. The cover, penciled by Kirby and inked by Klein, perfectly frames the moment the team was born.
In "¡Los 4 Fantásticos!," Mr. Fantástico signals his teammates to gather at his Central City apartment, setting the stage for a flashback to the group's origins. When their unauthorized rocket flight is struck by a cosmic storm, the four survivors awaken in a forest with newfound powers, leading them to form a team dedicated to fighting evil—each choosing a codename to become the legendary Four Fantastic.
In "¡Los 4 Fantásticos Contra el Hombre Topo!," Reed Richards rallies the team after mysterious nuclear centers vanish beneath the Earth’s surface, leading them to the Isla de los Monstruos. There, they battle a fearsome creature only to be split apart when a sudden collapse traps Reed and Johnny deep underground—right in the lair of the seismic force behind it all.
In "¡El Secreto del Hombre Topo!," Sue and Ben defeat another monster and track down their missing teammates, only to face the mysterious Hombre Topo, who reveals his plan to conquer the world in retaliation for the cruelty he endured on the surface. With his army of monsters unleashed and the Fantastic Four overwhelmed, they barely escape through a tunnel sealed by Johnny’s flames—only to witness the Hombre Topo destroy the island in a final, explosive act.
When four Skrulls impersonate the Fantastic Four and commit crimes to tarnish their reputation, the real team finds themselves in a remote hunting cabin, reflecting on their origins—caught between the truth of who they are and the chaos their doppelgängers are creating.
In "¡Los 4 Fantásticos Contraatacan!," the Fantastic Four slip into a Skrull mothership disguised as spies, using clever ruses from old Marvel comics to fool their foes. Mr. Fantástico leans on vintage issues of *Strange Tales* and *Journey Into Mystery* to convince the Skrulls that Earth’s defenses are too strong to breach—turning their own deception into a shield.
In "¡Los 4 Fantásticos... Capturados!" from Fantastic Four Classic #1 (1993), the Skrull spies are taken down—only for Mr. Fantástico to use his mind-bending powers to erase their memories and turn them into cows. The twist? The team’s fate hangs in the balance, and the line between hero and trickster blurs in this bizarre, high-stakes showdown.
