Massive, writhing tentacles engulf the entire Fantastic Four on Bryan Hitch's striking 2009 cover — the Thing strains against the creature's grip, the Human Torch blazes in the upper corner, Sue and Reed Richards struggle in its coils, and a wide-eyed young Valeria fights to break free at the center. The story title alone — "Don't Eat Valeria!" — tells you everything you need to know about the stakes, and Mark Millar and Hitch clearly aren't holding back. This is the FF at their most overwhelmed and most determined, rendered with the big, cinematic energy that defined this creative team's run.
