Fantastic Four #553

Dwayne McDuffie, Paul Pelletier, and Rick Magyar bring their run to a close with Fantastic Four #553, the third chapter of their "Epilogue" arc. Michael Turner and Mark Roslan's cover assembles all four members in striking fashion — the Thing looming massive in the foreground, Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman standing resolute behind him as she conjures a glowing force sphere, and the Human Torch blazing brilliantly against a fiery orange sky above them all. It's a confident, team-proud image that captures the FF at their most united heading into 2008.
